Premiership clubs make move for Southend United's Bilel Mohsni

Mohsni: Late header

Mohsni off to..........take a pick of up to nine clubs!

Blimey, never has one player dominated the S24 news sites in one day as centre-back come Shrimpers scoring sensation Bilel Mohsni has this Friday, even Freddy Eastwood in his pomp.

One game he's getting five out of 10 for cocking up at Northampton, then a few months later and the odd injury he's scoring for fun and he's off to the Premiership, or Championship, or possibily La Liga, or whoever www.skysports.com decides to throw in next.

Bet it was written by a girl.

Bilel is certainly a cult figure at Roots Hall since he was spotted playing in the Paris suburbs at and signed from amateur side Sainte-Genevieve Sports.

Now Murdoch's website informs us that, wait for it; Birmingham, Blackpool, Bolton, Stoke, Newcastle and Wolves, (not finished yet), Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Swansea, are all after his siggy, but the last three don't count, I mean, Championship, when the Premier League comes calling, Uncle Ron is counting the 0's he can add right now.

I mean this could be laughable if it wasn't to do with that Disneyland called the Premier League.

Sturrock does have a good record, see story below on his conversion of Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones, but the French Tunisian is not anywhere near that standard, and, to be honest, with what he's got up to in the last week with three goals in a couple of fixtures it would be surprising if there wasn't any interest.

The surprise is so much! (If true.)

Still, worse case senario, he signs with someone, six figures tops, and we get a loan back until the end of the season or even until the contract finishes in the summer of 2012, that extention is certainly looking a smart bit of business.

So let's leave it there, read about Scott Spencer going to Tilly's Lincoln City, and some rumours of our own, well, why not?!

For any of our Premier League and Championship supporting clubs have popped in, here's some Bilel links, as it's doubtful you've ever heard of him, enjoy:
