Nicky Nicolau: In his Barnet days we believe

So former midfielder Nicky Nicolau has put pen to paper a one-year deal with Steve Tilson's Lincoln City joining Francis Laurent on the list of ex-Shrimpers signing on at Sincil Bank.

Nicky has been training with the Imps for the last week before T&B decided they would take a chance on the inconsistant former Arsenal trainee.

Tilly told BBC Lincolnshire: "He gives a bit of competition down the left hand side. We have Gavin McCallum and John Nutter on the left so at the moment he would not be expecting to start."

He has dropped out of the league in recent seasons so will be at home in the Blue Square Conference as Tilson continues the rebuilding of a side that he got relegated from League Two last season.

Nicky has played for Cyprus at Under-21 level and won the FA Youth Cup while with the Gunners.
