Maxime Blanchard
Centre-half who turned out 20 times for Tranmere Rovers in League One, but was released at the end of last season.
Thanks to popular Tranmere fansite www.thecowsheds.co.uk for the following factfile about the Frenchman
FACTFILE
Full name: Maxime Blanchard
Nationality: French
Date of birth: 27/10/1986
Previous clubs: Laval, L'Entente SSG, Moulins
Born in Alençon in the Normandy region of France, Blanchard made nearly 100 appearances in French football before leaving Moulins in June in order to seal a move to England.
Tranmere boss Les Parry handed Blanchard a trial with Rovers and, after spending several weeks at the club, he earned a one year contract. He made his competitive debut as a sub away to Huddersfield, playing in a deep-lying midfield role.
He impressed the Rovers fans at the game with his aerial ability and reading of the game, and was given his first start for the club at centre back in the Carling Cup tie with Swansea City ten days later.

Ortega Deniran
Will partner Harry Crawford in attack and should have Jemal Johnson giving him some decent ammunition.
Blimey, this guy has been on a serious world tour, JJ eat your heart out, having turned out for teams in Guatemala, China, Bulgaria and in 2010 moving to Armenian side FC Banants!
In 2011 though he returned to Slavia, but shortly was removed from the training camp by manager Emil Velev for lack of discipline.
Another stroppy bloke for Luggy to sort out then!
