Merrick James-Lewis; Joining Chris Calver at promotion chasing Braintree
Shrimpers midfielder Merrick James-Lewis has gone on loan to Braintree Town, presently top of the Blue Square Conference South, until the end of the season.
Merrick has yet to make his first team debut, unlucky to leave today, he would have had a good chance of playing at Stockport!
He will be available to play in the Iron's home match against bottom-of-the-table Maidenhead United at the weekend, and will join former Southend striker Chris Calver in the squad, who is also on loan with the fellow Essex side from Yeovil Town.
