Craig Calver; from Essex to Essex via Somerset
20-year-old forward Craig Calver has already been loaned out to Braintree once before last season, the same year he spent some time at St.Albans, and now after an unhappy time with League One Yeovil Town, he's off to the Essex club, again.
Having only warmed the bench with the Shrimpers, Craig had been given a one-year contract as part of the developmental squad after being part of the Youth Alliance Championship winning under-18 side a couple of seasons ago.
It's been a similar story with the Glovers with just six substitute appearances totalling under an hour since joining the Somerset club in March 2010 from AFC Sudbury.
It's starting to look that the diminutive striker, Craig stands at 5ft 10 ins., could struggle to make the grade in league football but will find life easier in the Isthmian League Premier Division and we wish him well.
In fact, Calver made his debut for Billericay the same day, coming on as a 56th minute substitute with his side trailing 1-0 at Havant and Waterlooville, which the Iron went on to win 2-1, sadly Chris not scoring.
