Pitch inspection at Gresty Road Bank Holiday Monday
The League Two clash between Crewe and Southend will be subject to a pitch inspection that will take place on Monday, December 27th at 10.30.
The match is due to take place on Bank Holiday Tuesday December 28th; kick-off 15.00.
Of course, the game could still be called off later but at least this will give the travelling faithful an early indication of the odds on the game taking place.
Regular followers of our weather updates will know snow is forecast to fall this evening with tempertures keeping low for both Southend, Barnet are down to visit Roots Hall on Boxing Day afternoon, and the Cheshire town. (Further north, but the Accrington v Crewe game on the Sunday has been called off already.)
The club remains optimistic the Bees game will go ahead, but we have been here before!
So fingers crossed, especially those that were holding some rather tasty advance rail fares to Crewe!
