Shrimpers loanee keeper Luke Daniels Daniels has been in superb form since signing from Premiership West Brom, a deal which has now been extended to January and allowed him to play in the FA Cup Saturday, where for the second time in a row S24 gave him nine out of ten and their man-of-the-match award.
Luke was the main reason why the tie against League One club Preston North End remained goalless, and this was his fifth unbeaten game with the club, four of them wins, and he's let in just one goal, not a bad start!
Daniels to www.echo-news.co.uk/: “To come to Preston who are a league above us and draw is a really good result. I think it proves we can mix it with the so-called big boys in the higher division because Preston are a massive club. Last season they were in the Championship so it’s a hard place to come but once we started to match them physically the football side took over and we were able to make sure of a replay.”
