Jack Midson: two goals against Cheltenham, then he was off!
We're short of strikers, we had one at Roots Hall who had actually scored, not done much else to be fair but a double against the Robins late last year is not to be sniffed at, especially as we won 2-0, he goes back to his parent club under duress according to Blues boss Paul Sturrock, but has now signed for relegation bound Barnet!
Very strange, was he asking too much, did Luggy not really rate him?
Anyway, the facts are that the Bees have picked Jack Midson up on loan until the end of the season.
Midson, whose contract at Oxford expires in May, has scored 10 goals in 58 appearances for the club, including a hat-trick against Torquay earlier this term!
You may not know, but he was in the U's side that beat York in the 2010 Conference play-off final to seal promotion back in to the football league. Well, it might come up on eggheads one day.
As for the Shrimpers making a lone signing, there's a day left!
