Heat is on as Hearn sacks Williams at Orient!

Last updated : 03 April 2010 By westfield shrimper
After one win in eleven, ex-head Farmer Geraint Williams has been sacked by Leyton Orient chairman Barry Hearn after the Borient's 3-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Hartlepool, and they now stand just one point outside the bottom four.

Hearn told www.leytonorient.com: "The performance against Hartlepool was abysmal. Ultimately the responsibilty lies with the manager. The decision was taken to give us the best chance to stay in League One."

Even a win for Blues at Gillingham on Easter Monday, a tough task in itself, may not be enough to see them out of the bottom four, though they do have a far better goal difference than Tranmere, who have a tough task away to in-form Swindon.

And what money on Leeds getting promoted through the play-offs, let alone automatic, after a 3-0 home defeat to the Robins.
