The Moose speaks: 'As a team we just haven't done that well enough'

SUFC Exiles sponsored player Franck Moussa scored a cracker against Southampton on Saturday, to give his side the lead in what turned out to be a lost cause.

He told Blues Player after the game how disappointed he was to lose the game 3-1 in the end and it's the defensive errors that are the main reason behind Southend's relegation.

Franck told www.southendunited.co.uk: "It wasn't a great way to end and we could definitely have done better defensively but it's been like that for most of the season. As a team we just haven't done that well enough."

However, whether the popular Belgian born midfielder, and still only 20, will remain to help lead the fight out of League Two at the first time of asking remains open to doubt as he is out of contract.

Uncle Ron has promised he will be going nowhere, yet the Blues supremo has promised a lot of things, then again it looks as if he may get Morecambe not playing in the same league as us spot on.

The Moose concluded: "I'm a Southend player until I know any different. That's all I can say about it at the moment though."

In our recent poll asking who may leave the shrimpers in the summer only 5.4% of those who voted believed Frank would be one of the them.
