Moose Watch II

Hardly surprising that comments for Franck reflected the match and the general impression of the team around him. As it looks as if he's going to have a long run in the first team we'd all better get behind him and the rest of the lads. Millwall is no place for a nervous young player, Christians and Lions spring to mind.

Still, here we go and once again thanks to the contributors to www.shrimperzone.com forums and www.longpier.com for their comments.

Moose. No good, sorry. 4/10. (Stevie O)

Moussa needs McCormack alongside him (Andy S)

Moussa 5 - Can see the potential but he is simply not ready yet...Tidy on the ball, but far too lightweight, makes the wrong decisions, has barely any aerial presence and simply has no creativity at all (Shrimpersarmy)

Moussa 5 - good workrate but spent too much time defending (Longpier.com)

Grant and Moose were solid, but we missed Macca. (JamestheSuperBlue)

Moussa 2 (ouch!) - passenger. Unlucky to have been booked as it must have been his only tackle all night. (Yorkshire Blue)

Moussa did OK, and received the softest yellow card I've ever seen, but I do echo the above posters' comments that he seems to have more confidence when paired with a bit of experience. (Brum Uni Shrimper)

Moussa - 6 - Did ok but hardly ran the show. Needed to create something and frankly didn't. Moussa and Grant are both in the Maher/Hunt mode and are defensive players. (fbm)

I think we're getting the message.

Let's leave the Cheltenham game for now and concentrate on what he can do at the New Den. He's obviously not going to get us 12 goals al la Bailey but the talent is there and hopefully the confidence that will come with a long run will release the shackles a touch and allow him to go forward more.

Should the Moose/Grant partnership remain in place for Saturday? That's a question for another column!
