Moose continues to pine for middle ground

It's a tough one, but Moussa is making his opinion plane to the Blues management that he wants to eventually return to what he considers to be his best position in central midfield, which the signing on loan of Lee Sawyer has made even harder.

He considers it paramount if he is to break into the Belgian under-21 side.

'Look into my eyes Tilly, I'm the best central midfielder at Roots Hall'

The Moose told the Echo: "The gaffer knows how I feel and I do find it frustrating at times being on the left. I did a job for the team out there last season but I would rather play in the middle. I feel that's my best position and that I can get more involved there. If I keep playing well then hopefully I might get a chance in the midfield and then it's up to me to take it.

Franck went on to confirm his present determination to continue where he left off last season: "This is a big season for me. I've been pleased with my form during pre-season and it's been nice to get a couple of goals because that's something I want to add to my game to make me a better player."

One to watch, but it's odds-on Tilly will start the Moose out on the left wing, where he continues to shine in pre-season friendlies.

However, it does know harm to show your ambition and if the still teenager Franck gets another good season under his belt he must get a chance or might start to look elsewhere.

There is no guarantee Sawyer will be back here in the new year.
