There is a National Express service leaving London Victoria at 11.30 and arriving at Peterbough at 13.50 for £7 but you would have to get the train back (there is a £11.50 single available.).

TRAIN

Peterborough station is around a mile away from ground. Turn right out of station and follow the main road, passing an Asda store on your right. At the traffic lights, turn right. Go over the bridge and you can see the floodlights of London Road, over on your left. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the station to the ground.

Plenty of trains for a journey under an hour from London Kings Cross for £23 day return.

To book tickets and check all the times available go here: www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com

(All fares correct as of Thursday 26th February)

The stations's the Blue blob top left, the ground's above Glebe Road bottom right.

ROAD

Fill in the details from your home postcode to here for a full route plan www.theaa.com/route-planner/index.jsp but for an edited version, and after Colchester this is much easier, read on;

Approx. 106 miles. 2 hours.
Leave the A1 at the junction with the A15. Take the A15 towards Peterborough, you will eventually come to the ground on your right.

There is a car park at the ground or otherwise there is a council pay & display car park just off London Road (on your left as you pass the ground going towards the town centre).

FOOD AND DRINK

This has to be the pub boat Charters but for other choices for a decent pint and some good grub, and this is one of the better trips, go to the Pub Crawl in Peterborough here: www.thelittlegazette.com/news/loadsngl.asp?cid=EDW8

SHORT BREAKS

If you require hotel accommodation in the area then first try a hotel booking service provided by Football Hotels who are powered by Activehotels, who specialise in locating accommodation near or within a short travelling distance of the football ground. They also have the added advantage over some other hotel booking services that you pay on departure.
