Player/coach Graham Coughlan's men suffered their second defeat of the new reserve season when Peter Winn charged down a Rhys Evans clearance to score the only goal of the game in the 18th minute.
All four trailists get mentioned in dispatches, and the Shrimpers seconds did have enough chances to level the game, but whether we see them again we'll have to wait until the next game at home to Roy Keane's Ipswich Town at Roots Hall on Tuesday, October 12th: kick-off 14.00.
