Mildenhall gets full game against Hammers reserves

A Hammers side that included Lucas Neil, Carlton Cole and Freedy Sears took on our brave boys Thursday afternoon and only just beat Dean Austin's team by the odd goal in three.

Charles Ademeno gave the Blues Two's the lead but West Ham struck back with two quick goals just before the break.

The main news, other than 40 year old Paul Furlong wondering what team he'd turned out for, was Big Steve Mildenhall turning out for the whole 90 minutes and showing no reaction to his injury.

All on for Telford in the Cup Steve, see you there. (Unless Adam gets clearance to play which would be a big shock to Shrimpers and a bigger one to Mildenhall!)

Southend X1: Mildenhall, Harvey, Whittikar, Reynolds, Herd, Henry, Lokando, O'Keefe, Forshaw, Ademeno, Furlong.
