With this covincing win on Monday evening Watford became Totesport Football Combination East Division Champions for the 2009/10 season.

United striker Harry Clifford tried his luck when seeing the Hornets keeper Jonathon North off his line, chipping his shot over the keeper but North was able to make his ground and tip the ball over the bar. Good stuff alltound.
Stuart O'Keefe was able to pull one back with a penalty on 27 minutes, but it only took Watford a minute to regain their two goal advantage through Matthew Whichelow.
Then to make his demotion to the reserves complete Wolves loanee Malone scored an own goal only a further sixty seconds after that, good work down the left by Gibson.
Could they keep it from being a nap hand before the first half was up, sadly not, a Jordan Parks penalty after Whichelow was brought down on 34 minutes did the damage.
Gibson should have made it six on 51 minutes but fired wide when it looked easier to score.
Just before the hour though Julian Oaki was able to narrow the scoreline a touch with a fine strike off the post.
Malone did go close to making up for his OG, however the second eleven has now let in five or more goals in six out of it's 14 matches this season.
