Eyeing first team return from reserves: 'No matter what game you're involved in, you want to win'

The Shrimpers seconds head off to Stevenage this evening in their third Combination game still chasing their first win under new reserve team player/coach Graham Coughlan after a draw at Oxford and defeat away to Luton.

Certainly the Irishman is expecting whatever side he puts out this evening to do their best as wll as looking to lead from the front.

Coughlan told www.echo-news.co.uk: "No matter what game it is you're involved in, you want to win. If it's in training, reserves or the first team then you want to come out on top. As players we also want to impress the manager tonight because that's what playing in these type of games is all about, along with improving your fitness. My mindset is that I am also one of those wanting to try and twist the manager's arm in to picking me at the weekend."
