Southend's reserve side, being managed by Head of Youth Ricky Duncan, will travel to Norwich on Wednesday September 9 for an evening kick-off, 19.45.
Their first game at Roots Hall takes place a week later, Wednesday September 15, at the traditional kick-off time for the Shrimpers of 14.00, entertaining Northampton Town.
The second eleven Essex derby against the Farmers will take place at home on Tuesday December 15, kick-off 14.00, and away in North Essex on Tuesday February 2 2010, kick-off again, 14.00.
