THE ROAD TO WEMBLEY 2 - Francis left foot special keeps us in the fast lane

Win's a win is a win. Dominated from start to finish but nearly blew it at the end, will we ever get a second goal in an away game! I still can't believe the goal.

18 minutes gone, Francis cuts inside, takes a left foot shot, gets a deflection, balloons up, drops like a bomb, hits the underside of the bar, 1-0. Not much after that, lot of effort from both sides, but again not getting a follow up goal nearly cost us two points. Pitch a bit of a mess in places due to the recent extreme weather.

Paynter came on to nearly have a good laugh at his former team mates but blew his chances.

A solid display that continued our good run and there can be do doubt we deserved the points, the play offs are still in our hands.

The Arkells is bloody good in this part of the country!

Flahaven - 7; Good game, not really called upon that much, did what he had to do very well.

Francis - 7; As ever, looked better going forward than doing his defensive duties but, to be fair, he did them well enough. The winning goal was a shock to everyone, possibily even himself!

Barrett - 7; Along with Clarkey had a pain of a lanky centre forward to look after but, over the 90 minutes, won the majority in the air and looked solid.

Clarke - 7; Went a bit AWOL at the end as Swindon pushed for the equaliser however dealt OK with whatever was thrown at him.

Mulgrew - 7; Looked safer than he has done for a while. Has a fine left foot that he uses well.

Black - 5; A luxury away from home, never at the races really. Tilly should think of Grant with some of the away games coming up but probably wont.

McCormack - 7; Battled away, broke up many a Swindon attack, maybe could have used the ball better when he had it, but always in the game.

Bailey - 8; It's all been said before. Thank the Lord his hamstring held up! Saw him pop up in our box to help out the defence on more than one occasion.

Gower - 6; Oh Mark, just when I thought we could give sevens or eights for the rest of the season. Always available, though sometimes you wish he wasn't.

Robson-Kanu - 5; Quiet game, however still has a touch of class about him that is worth preserving with.

Walker - 7; Obviously had shaken off any injury he was carrying Friday as he looked far more like the James we have got used too. Very difficult to shake off the ball but never looked like scoring, a problem with a centre forward.

SUBS: Grant was not on long enough for Black but Barnard for Robson-Kanu I'd give a good six as he did his usual running around, making himself a nuisance and must be in Tilly's mind for a start Saturday.
