After George Friend came and went off to Scunthorpe, it's been reported that another full back in the shape of Scott Malone has joined Southend on loan until the new year.
S24 spoke directly to the Wolves press office where they confirmed the transfer's approval.
Scott was down to play in a reserve game at Molineux tonight yet as long as the paperwork gets through he should join the team coach somewhere on the M6!
Though Malone is two years younger at just 18 than present left back Johnny Herd it's been reported that Johnny's hamstring problem has flared up again and he could be out for a further three weeks.
Scott has yet to make his Premiership debut for the West Midlands club but has made 5 appearances for England Under 19's and is meant to be an excellent taker of set pieces.
