This time around Tilly's moved even quicker to get a more experienced left back in for young Johnny.
Last season the teenager had a few games when Harding got suspended or couldn't play in the cups, then a few games more when Dan went back to Ipswich, before Tilly got in Dervite and moved Captain Adam to left-back, 10 appearances in all.
This season, two; and in comes George, all 6ft 1 of him and a 350k signing for Wolves from Exeter City, where he started out as a trainee, going on play 37 times for the Grecians.
He helped them to promotion from the Blue Square Conference Premier into League Two, after beating Cambridge United 1-0 in the 2007/08 play-off final at Wembley.
Mick McCarthy snapped him up before the close of the August transfer window last season, where George went on to make six appearances in the Championship for Wolves, finishing champions and achieving promotion to the Premiership.
Friend has already played seven times for Millwall on loan this term, including the goalless draw at Roots Hall in August, where I have to say I can't remember him, but the Lions defence held firm, so that must be a good sign!
As far as I can make out he is available for the Brighton game Saturday.
Welcome to the club George and good luck.
