Will Leeds move for Clarke now it's a third season in League One?

They'll be a mixed reaction from Blues fans about Leeds missing out again.
They have to get it right sometime and will this will make any interest they may have in Blues player-of-the-year Peter Clarke come to fruition?

On the other hand, it will produce the biggest gate at Roots Hall next season and maybe a third 1-0 win in a row to celebrate!

When first posted most felt this was a rumour that could have legs especially with the central defenders former involvement with Leeds manager Simon Grayson when they were both at Blackpool.

One of their present centre-backs Sam Sodje, Efe's brother, is only on loan from Reading.

Finally, Grayson has revealed he and chairman Ken Bates had already planned for the eventuality of a third season in League One after the draw with Millwall that saw the London club go to Wembley.

He still felt his side deserved to go up after losing only two of their last 17 league matches.

The Leeds boss said: "I thought we'd go on and get the winner, but now I'll sit down with the chairman. We had plans for Championship football and League One football, we know where we are with players and budgets. So we'll get over it, start again and give it a real good go for automatic promotion next season."

Whether that includes Peter Clarke we will have to wait and see.
