Wilder: Best yet to come

Wilder: 'To come in at half-time behind was incredible'

As you can imagine U's boss Chris Wilder was not a happy bunny as they sunk to only their second defeat in their last 12 games, and one in which they had a lot of the play, in fact it would be more than fair to say they won the opening half hands down but finished it one down, ending up with nul points, not a sausage, bugger all.

Wilder told BBC Radio Oxford: "The team has played ever so well at the league leaders. It was a real pressure game, the biggest game of the season and for 40 minutes I thought we bossed it and dominated the match but as always it's what happens in both boxes."

And, as ever, when a team that has seen a lot of the ball, especially away from home, but have ended up with no reward, the manger looks at the match officials.

Beeb stats did have the possession at 50-50 Chris by the end of the match Chris.

Wilder said: "I think the referee played a part because we certainly should have had two penalties and he's given a soft free-kick for their equaliser. We should have dealt with the ball better and the header on the goalkeeper could have done a little bit better for my liking. To come in at half-time behind was incredible, let alone being on level terms."

Oh well, shit happens mate, see you on Tuesday in the JPT.
