Who will be the new No. 2? Tilly's not tellling!

Tilson: Knows nothing regarding the appointment of a new assistant manager

So who will be the new No. 2?

Tilly was short in reply and to the point.

He told "There is nothing to report on that at the moment."

Well that told us!

Of course it's been a while since Brushy was sacked by chairman Ron Martin after the disastrous 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool last March.

Dave Webb was sort of brought back but never seen, though Tilly always knew he was at the end of a phone according to Ron!

Old jug ears; 25% of readers want him back, but could he work with Tilly?

Rumours and a recent S24 poll have placed ex-captain Kevin Maher in the frame, and a player-coach does look a good bet, while former reserve team manager and right-back Dean Austin is looking for a job.

It could be that we just can't afford one and it wouldn't surprise me to see under-18 and present Blues Two's boss Ricky Duncan stepping up to help Tilly at first team training.

There's hardly going to be any second team games next season and Ricky could get from Boots and Laces to Roots Hall on time for a Saturday afternoon kick-off.

However, what would happen when we play Accrington away is open to debate, so, like Tilly, we'll just have to wait and see what left in the kitty come July.

Then again, what did that leaving Labour minster tell the incoming coalition treasury team? Something about there's nothing left!

If you see a middle aged man talking to himself at League Two grounds from August, don't call the police.
