Blues boss Steve Tilson has confirmed that they will not be involved in the match against Leyton Orient next Friday.

Tilly told the Echo: "Both Matt and John have been recalled by Colchester. They have done well for us while they have been here but Colchester want them back now. That's why I played Jean Yves M'Voto because I wanted him to get used to playing alongside Adam Barrett and for them to get working on a partnership."

Both players made six appearances for the Shrimpers.

Tilly has not ruled out making a move for the defenders at a later date, they would be more than useful additions to a small squad. White especially has slotted in well at left back.

However, until a new manager is appointed at Colchester, they are inteviewing next week, any future transfers will be placed on hold.

So Herd for the Borient or will Tilly look for another loanee?
