If anyone sees this man please report back to Roots Hall

He's not the assistant, he's just a very busy boy.

So that's all right then. David Webb was never Tilly's assistant, he just there to assist him.

Alice in Wonderland stuff as ever from the official site as they tell us: 'David Webb has a lot of business commitments and dropped everything when he was asked earlier this month to come and assist.'

Well, you sacked Brushy.

Anyway, more confirmation that Tilly is doing it all on his own on the training pitch, though the games against Walsall and Bristol Rovers saw the side play in a very Webby way, and the new No.2 will be announced in the summer. Maher? (Maher and Tilly, now that would be interesting.)

www.southendunited.co.uk confirmed: 'The request of David Webb was to assist Steve Tilson not to be his assistant. David said at the time he would slide in and out when needed. (!) Steve Tilson can of course deal with the day to day training issues until a full time replacement is found and which is already being considered by the Manager in readiness for the close season.'
