'We should have finished them off' but Francis looks north

Blues right back Simon Francis admitted to the Echo his side took their eye off the ball when allowing the Monkey Hangers to get back in the game at Roots HallFriday evening, eventually holdiong out for the 3-2 win.

"I think we thought it was too easy and became a bit complacent. We relaxed too much and even simple things like passing the ball were going wrong. We should have finished them off in the first half and got more goals but we made it hard for ourselves and were hanging on towards the end."

However, it's still three points and the play-off dream carries on for another week at least.

"It's the biggest game of the season for us because it's the next one we play. If we lose then it will be extremely hard for us to still make the play-offs but if we win then we still have a chance. It's a big pitch up there which will suit us and hopefully we can get it wide and get a good result there."
