Vernon: 'I was quite surprised to play the full game'
Striker Scott Vernon, on loan to the Shrimpers until the end of the season, was a happy man after the Swindon match.
After three and a half months out with an ankle injury he was just pleased to have lasted the whole game!
Scott told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It was great to be thrown straight into it and it's what I would have wanted to happen. It's been a long time in coming for me and I was quite surprised to play the full game because I expected to maybe last around 70 minutes. But I felt fine and was very happy to continue for longer."
