Tilly: 'We aren't far away from winning'

Blues boss Steve Tilson told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I know I keep on saying it but the performances have been positive and we aren't far away from winning. If we play like we have been then a victory is just around a corner and hopefully that will happen at the County Ground. Swindon are a good side and we didn't do too well there last season, losing 3-0. We did well for the opening 10 minutes before collapsing and that's what can happen there if you aren't at your best."

And meeting up once again with ex-Shrimper striker Billy Paynter: "Players always seem to score against their old sides so we have to be aware of that. We've already had it with Matt Harrold scoring for Wycombe against us and we don't want it to happen again."

Wilson: 'We've had a good week of football'

Meanwhile, Robins boss Danny Wilson spoke to www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk about his two 21-year-old loan signings from Celtic, midfielder Simon Ferry and striker Ben Hutchinson: "It gives us everything now. The nice thing about what we've got is adaptability and that is crucial to me. We're bringing two lads in of real potential who are both very enthusiastic, really ready for the challenge and excited about coming down.

However, he continued about the possibility of yet another loan signing on the way: "I'm still looking and we could be close. We want him to come in and be part of the first team squad and go straight into the team, but at the same time we have players who are playing quite well at the moment and don't want to unsettle it too much."
