Tilly: 'Leeds are in fantastic form so this is the toughest game we could be facing'

Blues boss Steve Tilson spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "We have to get at them and be right in their faces. That's not in a dirty way but we can't afford to back off because they just have so much quality in their team. They will capatilise on the slightest of chances and we have to make sure we pressurise them high up the pitch and stop them playing because otherwise they will punish us."

Grayson: "Southend is a difficult place to go. It's a tight ground with the fans on top of you.

The Leeds manager Simon Grayson talked to local media: "The players feel they can win every game at the moment. There's a fine line between confidence and being over-confident and we will lose some matches, but hopefully that's in a few months time. We've got a strong squad physically and mentally that can overcome adversity. They won't let themselves get carried away and won't let each other get carried away."

At the third time of asking Leeds are finally expected to gain promotion this season and with the team starting so well expectation levels have been raised.

Grayson continued: "I don't like commenting too much on the past because it's unfair on the players who were here last year and the previous manager as well. What I've tried to do is put together a team who are strong mentally when they're under pressure. I genuinely believe that the football club in general are coming to terms with what's needed to get out of this division. Maybe in the first two years some people under-estimated what you had to do."
