Tilly: "I was really pleased with the performance"
Speaking to the official site after the third succesive warm-up win Tilly said: "I stressed before the game that I wanted us to approach the match with a good attitude and that's exactly what the lads did. They were spot on and looked nice and bright so I'm certainly satisfied with the progress we are making."
With thirteen goals from the three games Tilly can only be happy with his strikers, however, he was particularly pleased that youth team graduate Craig Calver got on the scoring sheet.
The Shrimpers manager continued: "It was a very good goal and I'm sure that will calm Craig's nerves. Lee Barnard did well to set the goal up for him and hopefully there will be more to come from him now."
