Tilly: 'It was a well deserved win'

The match turned on a 57th minute sot-kick which saw the home side reduced to ten men.

Fair call said Blues boss Steve Tilson.

Tilly told the official site after the game: "From where I was sitting I thought it was a penalty. He was the last man too so he had to go. We got two goals, three points and a clean sheet so I'm really pleased. It was a well deserved win and, in the end, we could have got a few more goals. It was a good performance and a very good result because Stockport had been in fine form and I would have been pleased with a point."

Ablett: 'We didn't show enough quality'

County boss Gary Ablett just couldn't agree with Tilly on that penalty decision
Ablett spoke to the Hatters official site: "The referee had his hands behind his back at first so I don't understand why he changed his mind. He was affected by the linesman with that one. I'm disappointed with the decision, but there you go. There were a lot of poor decisions from the officials out there."

Though he did accept it wasn't all the match officials fault.

Ablett continued: "Ultimately, though, we didn't show enough quality at either end of the pitch. Passes were going astray and there were too many poor decisions. We got what we deserved. We didn't play nearly as well as we know we can."
