With Wayne Gray and Freddy Eastwood permanently signed with the club Tilson has offered fellow attacker Lawrie Dudfield a new contract. Despite this the Blues chief has announced that the he would like four strikers in order to bolster his League One squad.

Grant Holt
At the moment the most likely replacement for Bramble seems to be Rochdale's Grant Holt
However a the Shrimpers will not rush into purchasing a fourth striker even if it is Rochdale's Grant Holt who is already tied down to a contract. ‘There is no rush though and we will take our time to make sure whoever we get is the kind of player we need,' the thirty eight year old told the Southend Evening Echo.

As the hunt for the fourth striker continues it does however appear that Grant Holt is the most likely candidate due to his good goalscoring record for Rochdale.
