Tilly: 'The goal came at a fantastic time for us'

Blues boss Steve Tilson spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "It was a fantastic goal and I doubt you will see a better one all weekend. It was a great finish and it came at a fantastic time for us because there wasn't long left for them to come back at us. It's a brilliant three points for us but we did concede two bad goals which was disappointing."

Slade: Eyes further improvement

Slade: 'It was a great strike that hit the woodwork'

Brighton boss Russell Slade told www.theargus.co.uk: "It's very disappointing, a sickener really. I felt we dominated long periods of the second half. Lapses of concentration cost us. That's not good enough. That's not going to take us where we need to be. I think we are doing some great things going forward. I thought we showed good qualities going forward and we looked as if we might get a third. It didn't happen today. But we can't concede three at home and expect to win."
