Tilly: 'Jabo is a nuisance for teams to play against'

Blues boss Steve Tilson has been warned that the Canaries could provide the toughest test for his team this season.

Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "Our scout's report didn't make for nice reading because it said Norwich were the best team he had seen all season. It's something I was probably expecting because they have been in really good form of late in the league and we know that we are going to be in for a very hard game."

There has been speculation on where MK Dons on loan striker Jabo Ibehre will start. It looks like Damien Scannell in for the injured francis Laurent out wide while Jabo will replace Dougie Freedman giving top scorer Barny some strong support in the middle.

Tilly explained: "I've only ever seen him play as a forward and that's what he is. That's where he will play for us and he's someone who is a nuisance for teams to play against so hopefully he can do well for us while he's here."

Lambert: 'You bounce back as quick as you can'

After a five match unbeaten run in the league Canaries boss Paul Lambert was shocked at the 3-1 cup defeat by Carlisle last weekend, but expects his team to respond in the correct manner.

Ex-Head Farmer Lambert told www.canaries.co.uk: "They were really as quiet as you would expect. They were hurt from it Saturday and you bounce back, that's the nature of the game, you bounce back as quick as you can."

As for the Shrimpers, he continued: "It will be a tough game. It's a hard place first and foremost, I went there last year with Colchester but I'm pretty sure the lads will try and rectify what went wrong on Saturday."

Finally, any hints of the team formation where they have been using the midfield 'diamond' which the Cumbrians successfully stifled.

Lambert concluded: "With (loanees) Anthony McNamee we have a bit of an option out wide and Russell Martin because we needed help in the right-back area, because at one point we had no one to cover. So McNamee is the only one that can play slightly different but it gives us the option of changing formations so if a team does that against like the way Carlisle did, we have to adapt. But I don't think every team will play 4-5-1."
