Tilly: 'If an offer comes in for Barney, we would weigh it up'

With his contract expiring in the summer, and Lee being in a prime position to get the votes come May, the Roots Hall faithful could possibily see a hat-trick of players-of-the-years leaving during the close season!

Tilly told the Echo: "There have been no approaches for Barney but I wouldn't expect them until January when the transfer window opens again. We want to offer Barney a new contract because we want to keep him here. He wants to keep his options open though and that is his prerogative, so we will just have to wait and see what happens. And if someone comes in with a bid then we would weigh it up."

With things as they are in the game now it's no good playing the 'loyalty' card, and to be honest we could do with the dosh, but take away the good Lord's goals and the second half of the season willl be a bigger struggle that is even is at the moment.
