With some seventy-two managers going for the gong, including Mick McCarthy who has done wonders to win Division One with Sunderland, Tilly was presented with the award at the LMA Annual Dinner on Monday night.
Whether or not Southend United attain promotion this season remains to be seen, but even if it is Division Three football again next season, it’s ben a great ride from the lower reaches of the table just over a year ago. Oh, and let’s not forget two national finals along the way!
With Adam Barrett having already won the PFA Players' and Fan's Player-of-the-Year Award for Division Three, another accolade like this shows just how far United have come inside 18 months, let's hope the awards keep on coming!
