Theo would stay a Shrimper but could we keep him?

We have been here before with players on-loan, there not going to say they hate it here, especially when Theo's scored nearly a goal every other game. (7 in 17 games (1 sub).

However, as Ron makes clear in his blogs, there's players agents. 'He wants Championship experience, he wants Championship wages'.

Watford, actually, might just want to keep him, he is only 20.

The man himself told the Echo: "I wouldn't mind coming back to Southend because I'm really enjoying it. But it's still quite early to be thinking about next season and I don't know what's going to happen. I still have two years left on my contract at Watford but we will just have to wait and see and right now I'm just focusing on doing well in the games we have left."

As quoted before I've not been his greatest fan, even Barny brought up the fact he can be a touch greedy, we were all going to have a go when he didn't pass to the good Lord in the recent Hartlepool game at the Hall, then he went on and scored!

And that's the point, he does score, even if at times he needs a few goes to do it, he gets in the position in the first place.

As well as that his pace and work rate is phenomenal and the way he pulls defenders out wide to create chances for others, a good example there is the Mooses' 'goal of the season' in that same Hartlepool match, that shows he can be a team player.

All in all I'd rather he was in the squad than out of it, how many more times will we see Dougie, and where could we find such an asset for the dosh we would have to pay elsewhere, if Watford would open negotiations?

So come on Deano you owe us one, start having a word with your new boss now!
