v
SHRIMPERS
With no new injuries reported I can't see any reason Luggy will not keep the side that beat the Bulls 3-1 on Saturday.
That would mean new loan signing Nathaniel Jarvis once agains starting on the bench.
As reported on S24 first, It's now been confirmed by Blues boss Paul Sturrock that he plans to send strikers Scott Spencer and Matt Paterson on loan as soon as possible.
Luggy told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I think it's got to the stage where these players are needing to be out on loan. They need to be getting valuable playing time."
Strange stuff, however, our article predicting Sturrock's plans here:

Not the best performance but if he didn't change the team after a defeat to bottom-of-the-table Morecambe it's difficult to see him now in what should be a far more difficult game and a point would be doing just fine from our third trip to Priestfield this year!
Possible Southend United: Morris, Clohessy, Barker, Mohsni, Gilbert, Grant, Simpson, Timlin, Hall, Corr, Sturrock.
Subs: Evans, Herd, Coughlan, Prosser, Soares, Crawford, Jarvis.
COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!
OPPOSITION
Left-back Andy Nutter (groin) and winger Dennis Oli (hamstring) both missed the 1-0 victory over Burton on Saturday and both are doubtful.
Chris Palmer slotted in at left-back and should continue.
New signing wideboy Bruce Inkango was on the bench and may start this time around.
Defender Tony Sinclair also started as a sub after a back injury and could be inj contention for a return, while goalkeeper Alan Julian will remain the Gills N0.2 shot stopper to Lance Cronin.
Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler said after the Burton win: "Sometimes you have to win ugly. It wasn't a good first half, there was no real tempo to our game. They started better than us, we got sucked into the long ball game a little bit and we didn't play enough football. We passed the ball much better in the second half, but we know we can do better. It's about points at the end of the day and we had to grind them out today. We've kept a clean sheet against a very strong side. I thought we defended very well today as a group and I'm delighted for our keeper Lance as well."

Six players from the JPT penalty shoot-out win for the Shrimpers remained in the Gills side in their 1-0 league victory over the Brewers last Saturday and you can read the reports from both matches below, with ex-Captain Kev Maher looking likely to start on the subs bench.

GROUND
Priestfield Stadium has been virtually re-built since the current Chairman Paul Scally took over in 1995. In a corporate sponsorship deal with the Kent Reliance Building Society, the stadium has been renamed the KRBS Priestfield Stadium.
The Rainham End, has also been re-developed, with a single tier cantilevered stand, which replaced a former terrace. It is an open all seated 'temporary stand' has been erected on what was the former Gillingham End terrace, it is hoped that this will be replaced with a permanent 3,200 seated stand at some point. This stand has been named the Brian Moore Stand in memory of the legendary commentator and lifelong Gills fan.
Away fans are housed in part of the Brian Moore Stand where about 1,500 supporters can be accomodated.
The stand is of the temporary i.e the type that you would see around the 18th hole at the Britidh Open Gold Championship, altough it is of a good size and height, plus the views of the playing action are fine. Unlike most temporary stands though the facilities are surprisingly good. However, it is uncovered, so altough the club used to hand out free rain macs if it rains, still be prepared to get wet!
One unusual aspect of visiying Priestfield Stadium is that away supporters have to walk down a narrow terraced street to reach the away entrance, or if coming from adjacent streets down very tight alley ways. However, there is never normally any problems with this altough after the game the Police sometimes close some of the surrounding roads to away fans.

HISTORY
Gillingham are the only Kent-based club in the Football League and play their home matches at the KRBS Priestfield Stadium.
The club was founded in 1893 and joined the Football League in 1920. They were voted out of the league in favour of Ipswich Town at the end of the 1937-38 season, but returned to it 12 years later after it was expanded from 88 to 92 clubs.
Twice in the late 1980s they came close to winning promotion to the second tier of English football, but a decline then set in and in 1993 they narrowly avoided relegation to the Football Conference.
Between 2000 and 2005, Gillingham were in the second tier of the English football league system for the only time in their history, achieving a club record highest league finish of eleventh place in 2002-03.
In the 2008-09 season, the club was promoted to Football League One after victory over Shrewsbury Town in the League Two play-off final.
However, the Gills were relegated back to League Two the very next season on the last weekend, with former Blue Mark Stimson leaving the club by mutual consent two days after the end of the season.
Within two weeks, Andy Hessenthaler returned for a second spell as manager.
