Sturrock: New Shrimpers boss

Sturrock: 'We are beginning to have a problem at Roots Hall mentally'

After explaining to local radio that he's at a loss why his side's form is so erratic at Roots Hall, Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock was telling the club's own official website that the problem led to 'the poorest performance of the season.'

So what's up Luggs?

Sturrock told www.southendunited.co.uk: "We are beginning to have a problem at Roots Hall mentally. Someone has said if the game was ten minutes long we would win every match at home. We are starting well and then we are sitting back and getting all lethargic."

Certainly the management team needs to get to the heart of the matter as stronger teams than the Imps are to visit south-east Essex yet, and look what then bottom-of-the-table Morecambe did!

Luggy continued: "We then opportunities to sides to come and snatch the points from us. I can't put my finger on what it is at the moment. After two good performances, (away; Hereford 3-1 & Gillingham 0-0), I was disappointed with the way we played but a win is a win."
