Last updated : 22 September 2002 By Mark Wallis
The draw, which was made live on Sky Sports' 'Soccer AM' on Saturday morning has given United an away trip to Second Division Swindon Town. The tie looks set to be played at the County Ground on Tuesday, 22nd October.

Blues last met Swindon back in the 2000-01 season when Town were defeated 2-1 at Roots Hall thanks to Leo Roget's 109th minute 'golden goal' which earnt United's place in the Area Final against Brentford. Southend missed out on a trip to the Millennium Stadium, losing 4-2 on aggregate to the Bees, but it's the furthest Southend have ever been in the competition.
