Wilson: 'Sean is playing at a good standard'

Swindon manager Danny Wilson has made sure the good Wiltshire public are aware that Southend have 'no chance' of signing present loanee permantly after his second spell with the Essex club comes to an end in the new year.

That's OK Danny, as hopefully a certain 6ft 4in Frenchman will be back from Wearside to allow the teenager to return to his parent club on time.

The speculation of any permanant transfer has just been local paper mischief and though Morrison has improved with every game as he's returned to full fitness the Shrimpers don't have any money to make an offer even if they wanted to!

Wilson spoke to www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk: "We are using this, Sean is using this and Southend are using this for what it is - and that's to get the boy fit. They need a centre-half, Sean fits the bill and Sean needs games. It's a better option than having him at the club and just playing a few minutes here and there. This suits us all and, more importantly, it suits Sean, which is great."

It's a win-win situation for both clubs, and hopefully Morrision will see a win Saturday afternoon, but the Robins boss was quick to remind our friends up the M4 that his side are playing well enough without him.

Wilson continued: "He needs games, and at the moment in time the back lads are playing so well that he would be on the fringes again. We don't have any reserve games and had to arrange a friendly this week simply to give some of the boys games. But Sean has gone one step beyond that (with his loan move) - he is playing at a good standard and it will stand him in good stead for later on, because there is a certainty that we will need to call upon him at some point. And when we do we will know that he is match fit and at the tempo and the level that we are competing at."

Thanks Danny, now about Alex Revell, totally different ball game, how much will you give us?
