Sturrock: 'You can't just keep turning it on and off whenever you want'

Sturrock: 'We have to make sure we play at a high tempo from the off'
All four of the Shrimpers goals on Saturday afternoon came after the interval, with Kane Ferdinand bagging a brace before Liam Dickinson and Mark Phillips completed the Torquay tonking.
Lee Mansell scored a consolation for the Gulls with the help of a clear deflection, but that was not what annoyed Blues boss Paul Sturrock at the final whistle.
Sturrock told the PA aftyer the game: "I was pleased with how we played in the second half but we need to really be playing like that right from the start of matches. If we don't start to do that then we're going to get caught out quite soon because you can't just keep turning it on and off whenever you want. We have to make sure we play at a high tempo from the off but thankfully it didn't cost us against Torquay and we were still able to get the three points."
Indeed we did, and let's hope the team take his words into Tuesday evening's away game with Barnet, and we get four goals before the break this time!
