Sturrock: New Shrimpers boss
Sturrock: 'I'm pleased for both the lads'

Blues boss Paul Sturrock was still a frustrated Luggy even after the 4-0 culling of the Bulls of Hereford Friday evening at Roots Hall.

Sturrock told the Press Association: "I'm pleased with the result but it is tinged with disappointment because if we had played like this over the past few weeks then we would have been in chase of a place in the play-offs."

He was obviously grateful to his two strikers who grabbed a brace each, substitute Harry and top scorer Big Baz, and at least the goal difference is looking good!

Sturrock continued: "I'm pleased for Barry Corr and Harry Crawford and it's good to see them score. Harry is in the development stage of his career but he has done well, and so has Barry. He's got 18 goals so far this season but has taken a lot of criticism. The only disappointment for us tonight is the injury to Johnny Herd. It looked like a bad one and I will have to get someone in."

Pitman: Disappointed
Pitman: 'Maybe should have got something out of those early chances'

Meanwhile, Bulls boss Jamie Pitman couldn't say much after such a defeat even though possession stats after the game showed they had more of the ball than the home side who found the old onion bag on four occassions!

Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "If you make silly mistakes like we did throughout the course of the game then you are going to get punished against a decent side. Probably contained it as much as possible first half with going on the break a couple of times. Maybe should have got something out of those. But you can't give the goals away, the first goal was an error and then look at the rest of them and they're all errors."

To the Press Association Pitman commented on Barry Corr's goals that came after the striker had been booked and could have received a second booking for a poor challenge, however, the Hereford maanger refused to blame the officials.

He said: "A yellow card is a yellow card and it's for the referee to decide, but the game has not been lost because of that but because of our silly errors. But we are a good enough side to get out of it [the relegation fight] and I have the players to do it. We have 40 points and need to get another 10 as soon as we can, but the games are getting chalked off quickly."
