Sturrock: New Shrimpers boss

Sturrock: 'On Saturday I got tactics wrong'

Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock has at last admitted that he did get it wrong last week, something he wasn't willing to do at the end of the 2-0 home defeat to Crewe last weekend when he blamed 'passionless players'.

He told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Everyone makes mistakes and I've slapped myself on the wrists for that one. I got it right with a change of system against Torquay but on Saturday I got it wrong. I over elaborated because we were missing five players but I won't be doing that again."

Good to hear it Luggs, though whatever system we play against Bury will not make the game any easier.

So what about some new blood on loan to liven things up, the Blues boss is on the case, but may need to offload some of the present squad firs.

Sturrock continued: "We are over budget right now and need to sort that before bringing anyone else in. We are working incredibly hard and I don't want people to think we are just sitting on our hands. We went for Zola at Crewe and Sears at West Ham is naother one we would've liked but players and agents think they are better than League Two and it's proving difficult to get players here."
