It's official! The Tranmere game at the weekend is 'massive'.

After only one win in the last eight matches for the Blues everyone involved with the club now accepts we're in a relegation fight and that the game with Tranmere, third from bottom but a win away from going above Southend, is a good old fashioned six pointer.

Having survived his first league start with the Shrimpers, sadly not being able to take advantage of a good chance as it stuck in the mud of the Farmers cabbage patch pitch, striker Scott Spencer is up for it.

Scott told www.echo-news.co.uk: "There's no hiding the fact that this is a massive, massive game and we need a win. We're just above Tranmere in the league table and would love to extend that gap even further by getting the three points. I thought we played some good stuff the other night at Colchester on what was a joke of a pitch but unfortunately it just wasn't our night."
