Southend unveil second signing and theres more to come

From everything I have found on the young man, this new signing is a cracker for the club, a player who in just 14 games in League One managed to get in the team of the year.

He is a hot talent in football as he received a call up for the Under 21 football league team earlier this year. This is when he first met Steve Tilson, Francis told Blues World, “Although Peter Taylor was the manager, Steve helped me out a lot and he seemed like a really nice guy when I was away with the under 21's.”

And it seems that he was keen on a move to Southend right from the end of the season, “I have been speaking to my agent about coming to Southend for about a month now”, Francis told the official site, he went on to say “It is a move that really excites me…”

Jupp's position is now filled
One Bradford City site says that Francis was “the most skillful, gifted youngster we ever had”, this is the type of stuff that Southend fans will love to hear. With Duncan Jupp leaving Tilson has filled the gap he left whilst also having a player who has flexibility in the role he can play.

Francis has already got a lot of experience, even at the early age of 21 year old, he was signed by Sheffield United for £200,000 from Bradford where he had impressed. But unfortunately, he was unable to break into the first team and hold down a place, he then had loan spells at Grimsby and then Tranmere, where his performances were credited by getting in the League One team of the year.

After unveiling the new signing, Tilly seemingly inferred that more new signings could he around the corner, “Things are still in the pipeline, we are talking to about four or five players at present” he also told the official website “We are looking to sign another six or seven and it may be a slow process; but its more important for us to get the right players that we want to bring into the football club”
