A week after the Wycombe game, the Shrimpers v Bees fixture will now be played on Tuesday, February 22nd with the usual kick-off time of 19.45.
That means the Shrimpers will play seven matches in the 28-day month with five of them taking place in Roots Hall, and three on a Tuesday; Oxford, Wycombe and Barnet; Shrewsbury and Northampton the Saturday fixtures!
Following a pitch inspection by match official 'Deadly' Darren Deadman for the game that should have taken place on the Boxing Day Saturday, he 'reluctantly' called off the fixture due to a frozen pitch.
Fans with tickets from the original date will still be able to use them at the rearranged fixture.
We play the away fixture at Underhill on Saturday, February 29th; kick-off 15.00.
At least by the end of Feb. we should know how the season will pan out, looking up, or further down!
