No need to worry; Geoffrey was there and Ron remains in contact!

So the club gives their spin in the latest adjournment by the High Court to stop us being wound up.

For starters while Ron's sunning himself in Crete, it was chief Executive Geoffrey King and Finance Director Nigel Brunning who represented us in London on Wednesday.

Nothing to do then with loan company Charterhouse maybe waiting to see whether the club is still solvent enough to give them any of it's £140k back when Southend answers the HMRC petition on Monday, August 7.

www.southendunited.co.uk informs us: 'At the court hearing held on July 8th 2010 the judge made an order that the hearing should be postponed until August 2nd 2010. By issuing this order it meant that the Petition presented by Charterhouse could not be technically be heard.'

So many hearings, so many dates, so little time!

Anyway, they do go on to say: 'Funds have been deposited been deposited for payment of the Revenue debt and also the amount due to Charterhouse.'

So everything was hunky dory all the time, it really was a 'formality', I think!

As for Ron's absense, no worries lads: 'The Chairman is away, he does however maintain regular contact with the office dealing with matters that concern him.'

That's alright then!

But what about the payment of loans back to the Shrimpers Trust, and the PFA so the transfer embargo will be lifted, July 15th now and Dartford 24 hours away?
