Never a player to hold back on and off the pitch Macca, who was TLG's man-of-the-match against Carlisle last weekend, has spoken to the Southend Evening Echo about his preferred midfield partner, the Blues dressing room after the game and gaining revenge for a dismal evening!

"No disrespect to Jeff (Jean-Francois Christophe) but for some reason I just seem to play better with Granty. We compliment each other and get on well so hopefully we can keep on doing well to help get the team more good results."

After the revelation on Tuesday that it's the music on the I-pod of Simon Francis that gets played in the dressing room Macca further revealed what's actually on it as well as what could be a foolish bet by Tilly!

"After our games we're always listening to the Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes song which is out at the moment, and the manager hates it. After winning on Saturday we were all dancing to it in the changing room but he wasn't impressed. However, if we get into the play-offs he has to get up and do it on his own in front of everyone. He probably said it in the heat of the moment but we're holding him to it and it's certainly another good piece of motivation for us."

He finished on how he's looking forward to gaining revenge against Hartlepool on Friday night while not forgetting the original game last December, we lost 3-0, where 'everything on that night was dismal'.

"We got spanked and it was a long journey home for us and our fans. We owe them one so hopefully it will be us giving them a bit of a drumming this time and they will have to endure a miserable trip home, just like we did"
